Our Services
Wedding
Quite possibly the most special day of your life or, at the very least, one that you remember time and time again. The role of the Celebrant in your wedding is to conduct a celebration, to coordinate the words that mean so much, spoken by the ones you love. You will need to be legally married by a registrar (I can help you with these details) but my role is to tell your guests what to expect, to coordinate the various aspects of your service and, most excitingly, to declare that you are married!
I cater for all people wanting to make a commitment to a loved one, no pairing is different from another. There are lots of people who do what I do but my services are truly bespoke. Whether you need 10 walk-throughs, or consider a last-minute change of plan, I will be there to make your day simply unique.
Renewal of Vows
Many couples choose to renew their wedding vows as a sign of continuing love and commitment to one another. Life events can often make us re-evaluate what is truly important, and a couple may have felt they've been tested but have weathered the storm, together, and as a result have become stronger. As a celebrant, it is such a privilege to undertake a renewal of vows as the ceremony is such an affirmation of a lifelong bond.
Funeral
A funeral is no less a sign of love than the more happy and less solemn occasions, and so I promise to deliver a service that lets you know you made the right choice. If you are bereaved then I will hold your hand through the process, and work with you to make sure your loved one is remembered for who they really were and how much they meant to those assembled.
Naming / Adoption Ceremony
Welcoming a child into the world is a magical gift. Naming ceremonies fulfil the same function as a Baptism or Christening but are not officiated by a religious leader; they are, however, still a way of marking the child’s arrival and celebrating that with friends and families and those you choose to support the child throughout their lifetime. Children of all ages can be celebrated at a naming ceremony, and if you are an adult wishing to change their name then a ceremony can be personalized and planned just for you.Welcoming a child or children into your family is always a reason for celebration. This type of ceremony is another way to make the child or young person feel even more special. This is a celebration for you to really express what your family stands for, and it doesn’t matter if that family has 10 or 2..it is still something as personal and bespoke as you would wish.
Commitment Ceremonies
Sometimes a wedding is not the most appropriate way to declare how you feel about someone, and how you both wish to make a commitment. There are several reasons for choosing a commitment ceremony and I am more than happy to talk you through your different options, whether you want a formal, dressy celebration or something low-key with a few people. The main point of this celebration is that you are showing your partner that you are committed to them, and they to you, and I would love to help you plan something wonderful!
